Pianist and composer, Thomas Enhco composed and recorded his first album, Esquisse, at the age of 15 with his trio and sponsored by Didier Lockwood and Peter Erskine, released in 2006. In 2012, he moves to New York where he scours the jazz clubs and multiplies the collaborations. He released that year on Label Bleu his self-produced album Fireflies (Victoire du Jazz 2013). In 2014, he signed with Universal Music and recorded for the Verve label his solo piano album Feathers (nominated at the 2015 Victoires du Jazz “Album of the Year”). On the occasion of his 30th birthday, Thomas Enhco recorded for Sony Music his album Thirty, which includes seven jazz pieces for solo piano and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, recorded with the Appassionato Ensemble (2019). For the past ten years, he has performed internationally on the major jazz stages.

In parallel to his career as a jazzman, Thomas Enhco has been evolving in the world of classical music since his early days. In 2016, he published on the mythical label Deutsche Grammophon the album Funambules with percussionist Vassilena Serafimova. Their explosive and borderless duo toured the world and reconciled the general public with classical and jazz specialists. Their second album, entirely created around the universe of Johann Sebastian Bach and entitled Bach Mirror, will be released by Sony Classical in 2021. As a soloist, he regularly performs with symphony orchestra. As a composer, he receives commissions from orchestras, soloists, choirs, chamber music ensembles and foundations. He has composed three orchestral works (two concertos and a rhapsody) and various pieces for piano, choir, string, wind and brass ensembles (published by Naïve, Mirare and Klarthe).

Thomas Enhco is a laureate of the Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition 2010 (3rd prize), of the Django d’Or 2010 (New Talent), of the FIPA d’Or 2012 (Best Film Music), of the Victoires du Jazz 2013 (Revelation), of the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2017 (2nd Grand Prize), of the Prix ACEG de la Sacem 2017, of the Grand Prix SACEM du Jazz 2020. He studied jazz (piano and violin) at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, and classical piano with Gisèle Magnan.

His atypical and multi-genre career has led him to collaborate with artists such as Didier Lockwood, Jack De Johnette, John Patitucci, Ibrahim Maalouf, Emile Parisien, Vincent Peirani, Daniel Humair, Ari Hoenig, Mike Stern, Gilad Hekselman, Kurt Rosenwinkel, José James, Baptiste Trotignon… Henri Demarquette, Renaud Capu- çon, Natalie Dessay, Jean-François Zygel, Michel Dalberto, Anne Sofie Von Oter, Beatrice Rana, Lise de la Salle, the Modigliani, Arod, Voce quartets…

The year 2021 will see the release of two albums for which he was responsible for the artistic direction and arrangements: Tribute to Violeta Parra by Emiliano Gonzalez-Toro (jazz and Latin music) and Family Tree by David Enhco (jazz quartet and string quartet).

Since 2013, he has been supported in his projects by the BNP Paribas Foundation.
